Known accessibility gaps

Here is a list of accessibility issues we’re working to fix. We appreciate your patience and apologise for any inconvenience in the meantime!

General

  • It is not possible to navigate the app using an external Bluetooth-keyboard.
  • The application does not support landscape orientation.
  • When device font size is increased, not all texts increase. On rare occasions, texts can overflow, become hidden or get truncated when device font size is increased.
  • The app doesn’t fully respond to device visual settings like bolder text, custom font, high contrast font or Smart Invert.
  • On iOS, the "Send" web view does not respond to device zoom and font size increase.
  • On Android, the "Send" web view cannot be used.
  • There are no heading elements in the app.
  • The Omniva logo in the header does not have a text alternative.
  • In the “Shipment history” view, the status of the shipment can be determined only by icons. The icons do not have text alternatives in code.

Interactive elements

  • The main navigation tabs are at the bottom of the screen and are the last elements to be focused with assistive technologies.
  • Input fields don’t have labels, just placeholders.
  • Input field placeholders may not have sufficient contrast with the background and may be hard to read.
  • “Notifications” (bell icon), “Add” (+ icon), “Expand” (down arrow icon), “Collapse” (up arrow icon), “Back” (left arrow icon), and “Close / Empty” (x icon) buttons do not have text alternatives and are not accessible to assistive technologies.
  • The role of buttons and clickable cards cannot be programmatically determined. They are not read out by screen readers as clickable elements.
  • The role and state of toggles cannot be programmatically determined.
  • The role and state of tabs cannot be programmatically determined.
  • The role and state of radio buttons (language options) cannot be programmatically determined.
  • The role and state of select boxes and their options cannot be programmatically determined.
  • In "Terms & conditions" text, links do not have sufficient contrast with the background and may be hard to read.

Notifications

  • Buttons for viewing and deleting notifications can be accessed only by swiping.
  • Read and unread notifications are differentiated visually, but not for assistive technologies.
  • Notifications may be shown in a different language than the app language.
  • When Smart ID or Mobile ID control code is shown, the screen readers don’t announce it automatically. You must navigate forward to hear it.
  • Error messages disappear automatically after 5 seconds.
